Surplus.com is seeking a Freelance Website Designer with expertise in creating sophisticated web designs using Figma and implementing them through Webflow. This role is pivotal in establishing a cohesive brand identity and developing dynamic, scalable website systems leveraging Webflow’s CMS and design capabilities. Key Responsibilities
Design System Development
- Develop a comprehensive brand style guide and visual identity system.
- Create reusable design components, patterns, and libraries.
- Establish standardized color palettes, typography systems, and UI elements for a consistent visual language.
Website Design & Implementation
- Craft pixel-perfect, user-focused designs in Figma, optimizing for exceptional user experiences.
- Build and implement dynamic, responsive websites using Webflow, integrating advanced interactions and animations.
- Ensure design consistency across platforms with a keen eye for detail.
Technical Collaboration
- Transform design systems into functional, responsive web components within Webflow.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless implementation and maintain scalability.
- Document designs comprehensively for technical handoff and long-term usability.
Required Skills & Experience
Design Expertise
- Extensive experience designing websites in Figma, including prototyping and user experience design.
- Advanced proficiency in Webflow, including experience with CMS collections, dynamic content modeling, and Webflow interactions.
- Strong portfolio showcasing responsive, dynamic web design.
- Solid grasp of UI/UX principles and best practices.
Technical Knowledge
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to support Webflow implementations.
- Experience implementing CMS solutions and managing dynamic content structures within Webflow.
- Understanding of web development principles, responsive design, and performance optimization.
Tools & Technologies
- Figma (advanced proficiency).
- Webflow (expert level).
- Prototyping tools and version control systems.
Project Deliverables
As part of this role, you will deliver:
