We are seeking a talented and experienced Web Designer and Front-End Developer to join our network on a contract basis. As a designer, you will be responsible for creating branded websites using Webflow and WordPress, ensuring exceptional quality and attention to detail. Your expertise in front-end development will be crucial in bringing our clients' visions to life.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients and a project manager to understand requirements and translate them into visually appealing and functional websites.
- Oversee the front-end development process, utilizing Webflow and WordPress platforms to build responsive and user-friendly websites.
- Implement designs and layouts provided by the design team, ensuring accuracy and fidelity in the final product.
- Optimize websites for performance and SEO, ensuring fast loading times and adherence to best practices.
- Conduct thorough testing across different browsers and devices to ensure compatibility and responsiveness.
- Maintain and update existing websites, making necessary modifications and improvements as required.
Qualifications
- A portfolio showcasing your past work or proof of competency in web development, demonstrating your ability to create visually appealing and functional websites.
- Proficiency in Webflow and WordPress, with hands-on experience in designing and developing websites on these platforms.
- Strong attention to detail, with a keen eye for design aesthetics and the ability to deliver pixel-perfect results.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
- Familiarity with Figma or similar design tools to collaborate effectively with the design team.
- Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator, to create and edit graphic assets.
- Solid understanding of SEO principles and best practices for optimizing websites.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions.
This is a contract position with an hourly rate ranging from $22.50/hr to $30/hr, depending on experience and the quality of work. The duration and scope of each project may vary.
