“Masse is the most gratifying place I’ve ever worked”
Masse is a fast-growing SEO agency, offering our highly-effective “Content at Scale” SEO campaigns to ambitious tech companies focused on the extreme cutting-edge of tech like AI and Robotics.
We’re hiring a Tech Lead to help us take our SEO capabilities to the next level
You’ll work alongside our Founder to build out our Tech Department, making it easy for us to onboard new clients, deploy best-in-class technical SEO and performance improvements, and then create high-converting landing pages that drive new customers for our SEO + PPC clients.
As a Webflow specialist agency, we’re fortunate enough to have 100% Webflow usage across our portfolio of clients, though our team is both technical and extremely-experienced with no-code tools. As a result, you’ll be in good company and you won’t have to start from scratch.
Nonetheless, you’ll play the leading role in systemizing and improving our approach to technical SEO across the board, and you’ll build our landing page creation capabilities from scratch.
You’ll also help us improve our internal processes, whether it’s making it simple for us to monitor content decay, helping us pull together reporting dashboards for clients or even building AI-powered editing workflows for our content.
If you’re a hard-working, ambitious Webflow Developer + Technical SEO expert with an interest in AI, this might just be the role for you.
Here’s what you’ll do:
- Build landing pages for our clients that convert with SEO and Ads
- Identify and Implement Technical SEO/Performance improvements across our clients’ websites
- Build automations that help us get the most out of our AI tools, streamline our internal processes and improve our client results
- Create Analytics dashboards to reduce manual reporting, help us keep the pulse on our results and identify potential issues early
- Lead Programmatic SEO campaigns for our clients, with the support of our strategy + content teams
- Support improvements on our own websites and assets
- Act as Masse’s expert on technical SEO, analytics and conversion tracking - supported by Masse’s technical leadership team
Here are some of the things you might work on in your first 90 days.
In your first 30 days, you might:
- Find and fix technical issues across our biggest client websites
- Work with our bespoke programmatic SEO process to deliver new pages to clients
- Build conversion-focused landing pages for several of our clients
- Build automations to improve our content publishing process
In your first 60 days, you might:
- Take the lead on our programmatic SEO campaigns for clients
- Build Analytics dashboards for each of our clients
- Review and enhance our per-client tracking setup
- Build our technical client onboarding process to help us better setup new clients’ websites for success
- Fix small visual or functional issues on our clients’ websites that hold us back from achieving SEO results
In your first 90 days, you might:
- Develop processes and techniques that help us stay at the forefront of search as Google rolls out and develops its “AI Overviews” functionality
- Build advanced automations that help us use AI to improve all aspects of our strategy and fulfillment
- Expand our client offerings in the Webflow space
- Build our landing page frameworks, making it easy and scalable to build new pages for new clients
The Skills We’re Looking For
- Webflow. This is where you’ll spend time every day. You should be a Webflow expert (official or not), comfortable with every part of the platform and have an eye for design.
- Technical SEO. You don’t need to be a complete expert, but advanced technical SEO knowledge will stand you in good stead.
- Landing Pages. You should be a dab hand at building landing pages, optimizing conversion rates and writing basic, convincing copy.
- Analytics + Event Tracking. We’re only as good as the results we report on. You should be comfortable with GA4 and event tracking via Google Tag Manager, though experience with a tool like Looker would be a strong bonus.
- Automation/No-Code. We’re scaling fast, and automations that use Zapier and APIs to help bridge our various systems together or allow us to with AI are essential to our day-to-day operations. You don’t need to be a programmer, but working with no-code tools, APIs and automations is essential.
You’ll stand out if
These skills aren’t a necessity, and our eventual successful candidate may not possess them - but they’ll help you stand out
- Your development skills extend beyond Webflow. While every one of our clients use Webflow, familiarity with Wordpress or custom-coded websites will help to expand our future clientbase.
- You’ve worked in the tech sector. Our clients are funded, Series A and B startups. They thrive at the heart of the US tech sector and you’ll succeed best if you understand their culture and how they think.
- You know your way around Figma. While you won’t be doing full-on design, being able to mock up page wireframes will help you communicate faster with your team and the clients.
The Right Person For This Role:
- You’re autonomous. You thrive on solving problems and want autonomy to solve them your way.
- You’re not new to SEO. While we can teach you our secret sauce, you’ll do best in this role if you already have some SEO experience (and opinions).
- You’re a doer. You move fast and don’t spend too long fretting over every detail before getting to work.
- You’re an excellent communicator. You’ll face off directly with our clients, so you’ll need to be an excellent communicator, whether that’s on Slack or a Zoom call.
- You’re well-informed. You actively keep up with new changes in technology, whether that’s SEO or otherwise.
- You’re organized. With so many clients, there’s always several problems to solve and changes in play. You’re comfortable organizing your own tasks and putting processes in place to make sure you don’t drop the ball.
- You have an eye for detail. You’ll be making frequent changes across our clients’ sites, so an eye for detail is essential to keep our page quality high.
