About the Job
Gigantic is seeking a Front-End JavaScript and Webflow Developer for a 4-month contract. This contract is expected to begin July 15th and end November 15th, 2024. In this role, you'll use JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to build and maintain high-quality web applications. You'll work with Webflow and Figma on a daily basis to transform design mockups into functional, responsive, and user-friendly websites. As part of our development team, you'll collaborate closely with our Creative Director and other team members to ensure that every project meets our standards of functional excellence and aesthetic appeal. You will be responsible for implementing animations, optimizing web performance, and ensuring accessibility across all web projects. Our team operates with respect and openness, and we'll ask the same from you.

Must-Haves
✅ Our expectations for this role:
- Expert-level experience of JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworks, such as React or Vue
- Expert level understanding of HTML and CSS
- CSS animation or GSAP experience
- Basic familiarity with Webflow and a willingness to work in it daily
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Understanding of web performance optimization
- Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
- Experience with build tools and task runners like Webpack, Vite, or npm scripts
- Knowledge of SEO best practices
- Deep experience with Figma
- A sharp, strategic thinker who seeks collaborative solutions
- A portfolio for our team to review
- Strong internet connectivity
- Availability - 9-4p PT at a minimum
- In the Pacific or Mountain time zones
