As our Web Designer & Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our website and marketing materials. You'll leverage your design expertise and development skills to create a compelling online and offline presence across a portfolio of brands that effectively communicates the power of MetaGravity's studio and technology solutions to a global audience.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in graphic design and web design.
- Proficiency in Webflow and Figma is mandatory.
- Solid portfolio showcasing web design and graphic design projects.
- Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and responsive design.
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficiency in creating low-fi wireframes and high-quality mockups.
- Maintains a focus on SEO best practices and can implement strategies to optimise website performance and search ranking.
- A portfolio showcasing your design and web development skills.
And Ideally
- Familiarity with social media design and digital marketing assets (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
- Experience working as an independent designer or front end developer.
- Experience with integrating websites with backend systems and 3rd party services.
- A passion for the video game industry and its future potential.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) is a bonus.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage and update our MetaGravity and Edge of Chaos websites in Webflow.
- Create user-friendly, responsive web designs and prototypes in Figma.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design engaging social media graphics, banners, and promotional materials.
- Ensure all designs are in line with brand guidelines and maintain consistency across all digital touchpoints.
- Optimize images and graphics for web performance.
- Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.
- Work on landing pages, email templates, and digital ads to enhance user experience and engagement.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas.
Approach
- Design with purpose: Craft user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX) that are not only visually appealing but also intuitive and informative. Translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise website elements that resonate with a wide audience.
- Design beautiful and exciting visuals: Create marketing assets across the portfolio of brands to include brand templates, infographics, social media assets, brochures and more.
- Develop and maintain our website: Utilise modern web development tools and frameworks like Webflow to build and maintain a high-performing website. Collaborate with the marketing, product and games team to design and implement landing pages, campaign assets, and other marketing collateral.
- Data-driven decisions: Work with the marketing team to analyse website traffic and user behaviour to optimise conversion rates and improve the overall user experience.
- Stay ahead of the curve: Be passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest web design trends and technologies. Explore and implement new technologies and tools to enhance our web presence.
